Speaking of walking by faith

October 27, 2012 — 2 Comments

Were all human beings suddenly to become blind,
still the sun would shine by day and the stars by night,
for these owe nothing to the millions who benefit from their light.
So, were every man on earth to become atheist,
it could not affect God in any way.
He is what He is in Himself without regard to any other.
To believe in Him adds nothing to His perfections;
to doubt Him takes nothing away.

The way to strength my faith is not by striving after faith,
but by resting in the Faithful One.
Not faith itself, but the object of our faith requires our attention.
Paul Little

I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from mountains?
No, my strength comes from God, who made heaven, and earth, and mountains.
He won’t let you stumble, your Guardian God won’t fall asleep. Not on your life!
Israel’s Guardian will never doze or sleep.
God’s your Guardian, right at your side to protect you—
Shielding you from sunstroke, sheltering you from moonstroke.
God guards you from every evil, He guards your very life.
He guards you when you leave and when you return,
He guards you now, He guards you always.
Psalm 121 The Message
