Speaking of God growing fruit

If crisis reveals character,
then it’s time now to let God work on my character.
In the moment of crisis, it will be too late.
Building my spiritual house on the rock happens
as I put the words of Jesus into practice day after day.

        I keep my eyes always on the LORD.
With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
       Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,
because You will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
nor will You let Your faithful one see decay.
        You make known to me the path of life;
You will fill me with joy in Your presence,
with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.
Psalm 16:8-11

“Whatever my lot, You have taught me to say,
‘It is well, it is well with my soul.'”

Horatio Spofford

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love?
Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity,
or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute,
or in danger, or threatened with death?

No, despite all these things,
overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
Romans 8:35, 37
