“Surrender is the glad and voluntary acknowledgement that there is a God and it is not me.
His purposes are wiser than my purposes,
and His desires are better than my desires,
and Jesus does not come to rearrange the outside of my life the way I want it to be,
He comes to rearrange the inside of my life the way God wants it to be.
In surrender, I let go of my life.” John Ortberg

Because of the Lord’s great love
we are not consumed,
for His compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

“Self-improvement is no more God’s plan than self-salvation.
God’s plan is not just for us to be saved by grace –
it is for us to live by grace.
God’s plan is for my daily life
to be given, guided, guarded, and energized by the grace of God.”   John Ortberg

“God does not expect a man to live as he ought for one minute
unless the Holy Spirit is in him to enable him to do it.”     Andrew Murray
