Word for the Day: escribitionist

April 16, 2012 — Leave a comment
Escribitionist**:    a person who keeps an electronic diary and publishes their entries on the world wide web.
Erin Venema came up with the word in 1999 to distinguish between web journal authors and old-fashioned pen and paper diarists. The word comes from a combination of the English word “exhibitionist” and the Spanish word “escribir,” meaning “to write.”

My definition: a more truthful description than ‘blogger’

**from Wikipedia, so it must be true.
