Speaking of the fragrance of Christ

July 9, 2010 — Leave a comment

Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.

Ephesians 5:1-2

I will not wish thee riches or the glow of greatness,
But that wheresoe’er thou go,
Some weary heart may gladden at thy smile,
Some weary life know sunshine for a while.
And so thy years shall leave a track of light
Like angels’ footsteps passing through the night

“I will heal their waywardness
and love them freely,
for my anger has turned away from them.
I will be like the dew to Israel;
he will blossom like a lily.
Like a cedar of Lebanon
he will send down his roots;
his young shoots will grow.

His splendor will be like an olive tree,
his fragrance like a cedar of Lebanon.
Men will dwell again in his shade.
He will flourish like the grain.
He will blossom like a vine,
and his fame will be like the wine from Lebanon.”

Hosea 14:4-7

This Week’s Special:
I will accept you as fragrant incense when I bring you out from the nations and gather you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will show myself holy among you in the sight of the nations.
Ezekial 20:41
