My prayer team

March 9, 2010 — 1 Comment

I received some devastating news and I’m grieving for 33 children who have lost the only parents they have known, and for the foster parents who have been taken away from them.

As my heart has been breaking, I’ve been praying. In this case, this means expressing my anger, my sorrow, my anguish to God. Often this is without words, as my emotions run stronger than my mind.

One comforting thought is that I’m not alone in this. Lots of other people are sharing this sorrow. I’m also encouraged by the reminder that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are interceding too. What a powerful, insightful, compassionate prayer team we have.

“…the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.”
Romans 8:27

Christ Jesus..is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.” Romans 8:34

Sending up prayers, for all. Bless their hearts.

I'd love to hear what you are thinking...
