As grown up as a child

Last week, I said that if there was a spiritual Realage assessment, I’d want to come out older and wiser, not younger. But this week, I’ve been reminded that there’s a paradox. God wants us to be mature:
“Become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:13

But He also wants us to remain childlike:
“Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3

May I grow up to be like a child, trusting my Father completely, like a weaned child with its mother. {Psalm 131}

And may I grow up to be mature; to live a life worthy of the Lord, bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that I may have great endurance and patience. {Colossians 1:10-11}
